AnswerMyQ vs Claudeforce: Governed Answers Across Every System You Run

Claudeforce puts Salesforce inside Claude for people who hold a Salesforce seat. AnswerMyQ governs the answer for everyone who touches your business, wherever the knowledge lives.

A chatbot answers. AnswerMyQ governs the answer and drives the outcome. Policy before response.

The Short Version

Claudeforce is the name of the expanded Salesforce and Anthropic partnership, announced August 26, 2026.1 The product inside it is Salesforce in Claude, a plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills that lets sellers work their pipeline and update records from inside Claude, governed by the Salesforce permissions they already hold. Behind the plugin sits the Salesforce platform: Agentforce, Data 360, Flow, MuleSoft, Field Service, portals, and Slack. That platform already retrieves unstructured content with citations and takes governed action inside Salesforce. It reaches customers and contractors too, through its own licensed products.5

AnswerMyQ is the Governed AI Knowledge Platform for the Enterprise. Policy is enforced before the response, answers are source-cited and role-aware, and every interaction ends in a compliant outcome. One governed system serves employees, customers, partners, franchisees, and field teams, drawing on approved content from every system they need, whether or not Salesforce is one of them.

The choice comes down to two questions. Is Salesforce the system of record for the whole decision, or one system in a business process that spans several? Do the people who need the answer hold a Salesforce login? If Salesforce is the center and the audience is your sales team, Claudeforce is built for you. If the knowledge is spread across systems and the audience includes technicians, dealers, members, or franchisees, you need the governed platform.

Framing

What buyers are really choosing between

Most buyers comparing AnswerMyQ and Claudeforce aren't choosing between two versions of the same thing. They're choosing between two architectures that solve different problems.

A Governed AI Knowledge Platform is an enterprise system that enforces policy before generating a response, delivers source-cited and role-aware answers, and drives compliant outcomes across every audience that touches the business. Claudeforce brings the Salesforce platform, its data, workflows, business logic, and permissions, into Claude and into Slack, so authorized users and agents can reason over Salesforce data and act on it. Both involve AI. One governs the answer wherever the knowledge lives. The other governs access to Salesforce.

AnswerMyQ is powered by the Adaptive Intelligence System, a proprietary capability that continuously adapts to each organization's content, audiences, and workflows. That continuous adaptation is what makes role-aware, policy-enforced answers possible across multiple audiences and multiple source systems from a single platform.

The Difference

How is AnswerMyQ different from Claudeforce?

Here is the difference in one sentence. Unlike Salesforce in Claude, which brings Salesforce data and sales workflows into Claude for licensed Salesforce users, and the Agentforce platform behind it, which works best when Salesforce is the center of your architecture, AnswerMyQ is the Governed AI Knowledge Platform for the Enterprise that enforces policy before response, delivers source-cited answers from client-approved content across every system you run, and enables compliant outcomes across employees, customers, partners, franchisees, and field teams.

The rest of this page unpacks what that means in practice.

The Governance Question

Salesforce says every answer and every action runs through your existing permissions. Is Claudeforce governed AI?

Salesforce governs what a user can reach inside Salesforce. Governed AI governs which answer that person should get, before it is generated, wherever the knowledge lives. Those are different things, and the difference is the whole question.

Salesforce's model, based on its own materials as of September 2026, deserves a fair reading, and it is stronger than most. An admin connects Salesforce in Claude once, and every seller gets access scoped to the object permissions, field-level security, and sharing rules they already have. Salesforce's own words: "no per-user setup, no new permissions model to build, no re-auditing account by account."1 Claude runs inside the Salesforce Trust Boundary through Amazon Bedrock, with zero data retention on the Claude models. On the platform side, Data 360 ingests unstructured content such as PDFs, knowledge articles, transcripts, and web pages, and Agentforce retrieves it with source citations.2 Actions taken through the plugin trigger the same validation rules, Flows, and automation as any other Salesforce write.1 For Salesforce data, that is real governance of access and real governance of action.

Now look at what is happening at the moment an answer is delivered. Inheriting a permission set is not the same as deciding, before the answer, which version of an answer this role is allowed to receive. Two users with the same Salesforce permissions get the same answer. A compliance policy that should shape the response differently for a broker and a member, or for a contractor and a certified technician, has to be built by an administrator, topic by topic and agent by agent. Salesforce says so itself. Its architecture guidance for headless agents states that "your permission design has to do the work the API contract used to do," and that you "can't rely on" an agent's internal guardrails to keep it inside your boundaries.2 Output checks, where they exist, live in the Einstein Trust Layer on the Agentforce side, after generation.2 The knowledge has to be in Salesforce or Data 360 first. Every audience beyond licensed sellers is reached through its own Salesforce product, on its own license.5 Salesforce governs the perimeter around the answer. It does not govern the answer.

Governed AI is artificial intelligence in which rules, roles, and compliance constraints are enforced before any response is generated, not filtered after the fact. It delivers answers grounded in approved sources, adapted to the asker's role, and connected to compliant actions that drive business outcomes, with every interaction logged for audit.

That definition is the difference. Policy before response is not a description of a permission model. It is a description of every single transaction. Read the full definition at What is Governed AI?

One clarification, because the word governance now points in several directions: AnswerMyQ governs knowledge access, response, and action, not model risk and compliance workflows. AI model governance tooling is a different market with a different buyer, and the Salesforce Trust Boundary and Anthropic's model safeguards belong to that conversation, not this one.

A simple test separates the two approaches. Ask any platform five questions:

  1. Is policy enforced before the answer is generated?
  2. Does the answer change based on who is asking?
  3. Can every answer be traced to an approved source?
  4. Does the interaction end with an action, or just an answer?
  5. Does it govern everyone who touches your business, or only employees?

AnswerMyQ answers yes to all five by architecture. Claudeforce earns a clear yes on question four, inside Salesforce: record updates, Flows, and Agentforce actions are real and governed. On the other four, the honest answer is partly. Permissions are checked before retrieval, which is inherited access rather than a policy decision about the answer. The answer changes with the user's permission set, not with a declared role model unless an admin builds one. Data 360 retrievers cite what they retrieve, but the plugin also draws on Slack, email, and other connectors, so approved-source-only depends on how tightly each Data Library and connector is scoped. The plugin serves licensed Salesforce sellers. Technicians, contractors, dealers, members, and customers each need their own Salesforce product to be reached. Strong access control feeding a general-purpose model is a well-governed door, not governed AI.

Agentforce and Salesforce in Claude vs. governed AI: why the category matters

A platform governs what happens inside the platform. Governed AI enforces what people are permitted to receive and act on, wherever the knowledge lives.

Salesforce is a strong platform with a very large installed base. Agentforce annual recurring revenue passed $1.5 billion in the quarter Claudeforce was announced, Agentforce and Data 360 together are near $3.9 billion, and Data 360 ingested 104 trillion records in that quarter alone.6 Claude is now the default model for Slack AI, Slackbot, Salesforce in Claude, Headless 360, and Agentforce Coworker. Salesforce's own framing is that its value lives in its data and metadata, not its screens. Any authorized agent, Claude included, should be able to discover and use Salesforce capabilities through AIforce, its enterprise harness, and Headless 360, the architecture that exposes those capabilities over MCP.1 When the decision lives in Salesforce, that is hard to beat.

That positioning is honest. It is also the limitation.

Governance is not a feature you add to a platform. It is an architecture. Before AnswerMyQ generates any response, the platform checks who is asking, what role they hold, what policy applies, what sources are permitted, and what action should follow. The answer is shaped by all of that before a single word is generated. This is what policy before response means, and it does not depend on which system the knowledge came from.

Salesforce is powerful when the decision lives in Salesforce. Everything the agent needs has to be in Salesforce or ingested into Data 360 first. The permission model does the governing, and an administrator builds the answer-level logic per agent. AnswerMyQ governs knowledge, answer, and action when the business process spans systems and audiences: the PIM, the LMS, the ERP, the service platform, the spec library, the dealer portal, and Salesforce, if Salesforce is there. Access control governs the door. It does not govern the answer.

Audience

Who does each platform actually serve?

Salesforce in Claude serves sellers. That is its design, its launch skill set, and its strength. Pipeline review, meeting prep, deal health, close plans, and CRM hygiene, for people who already hold a Salesforce seat and now want to do that work inside Claude. Salesforce has said additional skills for Service, Marketing, Field Service, and other clouds will begin arriving in late 2026.1

The wider Salesforce platform can reach people outside the sales team. Experience Cloud portals, contractor licenses, Field Service, and customer-facing Agentforce agents all exist.5 Each one is its own product with its own license, and the knowledge each audience needs has to be brought into Salesforce or Data 360 before an agent can use it.

AnswerMyQ serves the full enterprise ecosystem. Employees, customers, partners, franchisees, distributors, and field technicians, all from one governed system, with content from every source they need. A healthcare plan cannot deliver the same answer to a CMS-certified broker that it delivers to a member. A parts manufacturer cannot give the same repair guidance to a certified dealer technician that it gives to a do-it-yourself customer. AnswerMyQ enforces those role-aware distinctions before the answer is generated, and none of those people need a seat in any system of record to get it.

If most of what your technicians, dealers, or members need to know is not a Salesforce record, and most of them do not hold a Salesforce login, a Salesforce-centered architecture is not the right one.

Outcomes

Why "compliant outcomes" matters more than retrieved answers

Claudeforce ends the interaction with an action, as long as the action lives in Salesforce. The record is updated, the Flow runs, the Agentforce agent completes the task, and the platform's validation rules apply on the way through.1 For a seller working pipeline, that is exactly what the plugin is for.

The question is where the work actually happens once someone has the answer. A technician who gets the right torque spec needs to complete the repair and order the part from the ERP. A broker who gets the right plan detail needs to record the disclosure in the compliance system. When those systems are not Salesforce, the action is build work: MuleSoft, APIs, or Flow, each configured and maintained by your team.

AnswerMyQ is Built for Outcomes. Every interaction can end with a defined next step in the system where the work happens: schedule the service appointment, order the part, escalate the claim, trigger the workflow, log the disclosure. The answer and the action are part of the same governed transaction, and every step is logged for audit. The value is the repair completed, the order placed, the truck back on the road.

Regulated Industries

Which platform fits regulated industries?

Regulated industries do not just need accurate content. They need provable compliance on every interaction.

Healthcare and Medicare Advantage. Answers can be aligned with HIPAA-appropriate language and CMS marketing rules, with role-based delivery enforced at the answer layer. Business Associate Agreements are available for healthcare deployments.

Automotive aftermarket. Repair guidance must align with OEM specifications and warranty constraints. AnswerMyQ delivers technician-grade answers grounded in approved repair intelligence.

Manufacturing and fleet maintenance. Procedural answers must reflect current revisions, role-appropriate detail, and traceable sourcing.

Franchise systems. Brand standards and operational policies must reach every location consistently while staying role-appropriate for franchisees, employees, and field staff.

Salesforce has a mature compliance posture, and Claudeforce keeps Claude inside the Salesforce Trust Boundary so that regulated customers can deploy it.1 What Salesforce does not do is decide, before each answer, which version of the answer this role is permitted to receive under this policy. That logic is configured by your administrators, per agent and per topic, and the audit story is the permissions and Flows they configured.2 AnswerMyQ's audit story is every question, the role that asked it, the policy that applied, the sources used, and the action taken. Regulated industries need the second story.

Pricing

What do Claudeforce and Agentforce cost?

Salesforce in Claude has no published price. Salesforce's launch materials say only that "pricing and packaging are subject to change."1 On the Q2 FY27 earnings call, Salesforce said every customer will be able to buy it but "they will have to upgrade to our premium editions," so there is no price yet, but there is already a prerequisite. Salesforce President Patrick Stokes put it plainly: "You can't buy this on one piece of paper at the moment." Claude itself is contracted separately with Anthropic.6

The platform around the plugin is priced, on Salesforce's own pages as of September 2026. Agentforce runs on Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000, with a standard action costing 20 credits, or about $0.10, or on a $2 per conversation model for customer-facing agents.3 Flex Credits and conversations cannot run in the same org, and unused credits do not roll over. Agentforce 1 Editions start at $550 per user per month; Agentforce add-ons for Sales, Service, and Field Service are $125 per user per month; an Agentforce User License is $5 per user per month plus credits. Data 360 is consumption-priced, and Salesforce's own worked example for one Agentforce use case totals $106,109 in year one, about 91 percent of it profile unification, before implementation.4 Reaching people outside the sales team has its own rate card: Field Service Technician $175 per user per month, Contractor Plus $80 per user per month or $32 per login, Agentforce Service Portal $4 per login or $10 per member, Help Agent $2 per resolution.5 Every one of those lines grows with adoption, so the bill rises as the deployment succeeds.

AnswerMyQ does not publish a rate card either, for a different reason: it is a concierge platform, scoped to the deployment. Pricing reflects the audiences served, the policies enforced, the systems connected, and the outcomes delivered. It is not a meter, and it does not climb every time a technician asks a second question.

For either platform, the honest advice is the same: price the whole problem, not the plugin. Editions, Data 360 consumption, credits or conversations, per-audience licenses, Claude seats, implementation, and ongoing administration on one side. One scoped number for the outcome on the other. Then compare.

Delivery

Why AnswerMyQ is a concierge solution

AnswerMyQ is not an off-the-shelf product. It is a concierge solution, designed and configured to the specific needs of each enterprise.

This is a deliberate choice. Governed AI cannot be one-size-fits-all. The rules that protect a healthcare plan are not the rules that protect a franchise system. The role definitions for a hospital network are not the role definitions for an automotive aftermarket brand. The compliant outcomes a manufacturer needs at the plant floor are not the outcomes a Medicare broker needs in the field. Generic deployments do not enforce specific policies.

Concierge means we build the deployment around your environment. Your content. Your roles. Your policies. Your audiences. Your outcomes. AnswerMyQ is delivered as a governed platform tailored to the organization deploying it, not a SaaS subscription that hands you a generic engine and tells you to configure it yourself.

Claudeforce is a build, not a product, once you step past the seller plugin. Getting governed answers over unstructured knowledge on Salesforce means Data 360 ingestion, a chunking strategy, index configuration, retrievers, data spaces, Data Libraries, agent and topic design, and an administrator who owns the index and the permission model. Salesforce's own guidance is that the agent user must have access to the right data space or retrieval fails at runtime. The plugin makes the result visible inside Claude. It does not remove any of the work behind it. AnswerMyQ makes implementation part of the product: we connect, configure, govern, test, manage, and improve it.

Choosing Between Them

Which platform is the right fit

When AnswerMyQ is the right choice
Governed AI for the full enterprise ecosystem
  • You operate in a regulated industry where every answer must align with policy, role, and compliance requirements.
  • You need to serve more than internal employees: customers, partners, franchisees, distributors, and field teams all need governed, role-appropriate answers, and most of them do not hold a Salesforce login.
  • The knowledge lives in many systems: PIM, LMS, ERP, service platform, spec libraries, dealer portal. Salesforce is one source among several, or not a source at all.
  • Finding the right information is not enough. You need the platform to drive the next action, in the system where the work happens, and log the outcome.
  • You need audit trails on what was answered, to whom, under what role, and what action followed.
  • You want one high-value result in weeks, with someone who owns the connecting, configuring, governing, and testing, rather than a platform program staffed by your team.
  • You run HubSpot or another CRM, or use Salesforce lightly as a system of record.
When Claudeforce is the right choice
Salesforce in Claude and Agentforce
  • Your use case is sellers working their pipeline, and you want them doing it inside Claude with live Salesforce data.
  • Salesforce is the operating center of your business and you already run Data 360 and Agentforce in production.
  • You have an internal Salesforce team with the time, credits, and mandate to build and administer agents.
  • The knowledge your audiences need is already Salesforce records, or you are prepared to bring it into Data 360.
  • Procurement is consolidating on Salesforce and there is no appetite for another vendor this year.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions: AnswerMyQ vs. Claudeforce

Claudeforce is the expanded partnership between Salesforce and Anthropic, announced August 26, 2026. It has three parts: Salesforce in Claude, a plugin with 37 prebuilt sales skills that lets sellers reason over Salesforce data and take governed action from inside Claude; Claude in Salesforce, where Claude serves as a reasoning model in Agentforce and runs inside the Salesforce Trust Boundary through Amazon Bedrock; and Claude in Slack, where Claude is the default model for Slack AI and Slackbot. Salesforce in Claude is available to select pilot customers now, with open beta expected in September 2026 and additional skills beginning in late 2026.1

AnswerMyQ is the governed alternative to Claudeforce and Agentforce for organizations whose knowledge spans systems beyond Salesforce and whose audiences include people without a Salesforce login. Claudeforce brings Salesforce into Claude for licensed users, and Agentforce builds agents on the Salesforce platform. AnswerMyQ is the Governed AI Knowledge Platform for the Enterprise that enforces policy before response, delivers source-cited answers from client-approved content across every system you run, and serves employees, customers, partners, franchisees, and field teams from one governed system.

Claudeforce governs access. Every answer and action runs through existing Salesforce permissions and business rules, Claude runs inside the Salesforce Trust Boundary, and actions inside Salesforce are real and governed.2 It does not decide, before the answer is generated, which version of an answer a given role should receive under a given policy. That logic is built by administrators, and output checks on the Agentforce side happen after generation. By that definition, AnswerMyQ is the governed AI platform.

Yes, through its own products. Experience Cloud portals, Field Service licenses, contractor licenses, and customer-facing Agentforce agents can each reach an external audience, each on its own license and price, and each depends on the knowledge being in Salesforce or Data 360 first.5 Salesforce in Claude itself is for licensed sellers. AnswerMyQ serves all of those audiences from one governed system, with content from every source they need and a defined next step at the end, without a seat in any system of record.

Salesforce has not published a price for Salesforce in Claude and says pricing and packaging are subject to change.1 On its Q2 FY27 earnings call it said customers will need to upgrade to premium editions to buy it, and Claude is contracted separately with Anthropic.6 The platform around it is priced: Agentforce Flex Credits at $500 per 100,000 (about $0.10 per standard action) or $2 per conversation, Agentforce 1 Editions from $550 per user per month, add-ons at $125 per user per month, and consumption-priced Data 360.3 AnswerMyQ is priced as a concierge deployment scoped to the audiences served, policies enforced, systems connected, and outcomes delivered. Schedule a demo for pricing scoped to your environment.

Yes. AnswerMyQ sits across the systems a business runs, including Salesforce, HubSpot, ERP, service platforms, product content, and SharePoint, without making any one of them the center of the architecture. Where Salesforce data or actions help an audience get the right answer and the right next step, AnswerMyQ uses them. Nothing has to be moved into Salesforce or Data 360 for AnswerMyQ to govern it.

Salesforce permissions decide what a user or agent can reach: objects, fields, records, and actions. AnswerMyQ governance decides, before any response is generated, who is asking, what role they hold, what policy applies, which approved sources may be used, and what compliant action should follow, and then logs all of it. Permissions restrict what AI can touch. Governance determines what AI delivers.

AnswerMyQ runs on Google Cloud Platform. Every answer is grounded in client-approved content, and customer data is not used to train external AI models.7
